The Denver Design District is located in the heart of Denver’s SoBo, or South Broadway district. This stretch of Broadway has become an emerging location for fashionable boutiques, clubs, restaurants and design shops.

When you are done browsing the showrooms at the Design District, grab a bite to eat at the newest Spicy Pickle location, inside the East Building of the District.

After lunch, head over to Decade for unique baby items and cute summer accessories.  Just a few doors down, grab dessert at Sweet Action.  Their ice cream selections are heavenly and they even offer vegan recipes.  It may take you awhile to choose… with so many fantastic options such as Watermelon Sorbet, Vegan Blueberry Pie, Dirty Chai and (my personal favorite) Butterscotch.

Speaking of more delicious food, Beatrice & Woodsley offers one of the tastiest brunch menus around, and their urban Colorado décor makes you feel like you stumbled upon a bar in the middle of an aspen grove.  Also on our list are Punch Bowl Social, which boasts an extensive happy hour menu, and next month, Illegal Pete’s, the locally owned and operated “Mission-style” burrito joint, will be opening up a new location at 270 South Broadway.

If crafting, stitching or weaving fills your spare time, Fancy Tiger is a must stop.  Not only do they offer an amazing variety of fabrics and yarns, they offer up a busy schedule of classes and workshops.

This is only a small handful of the fantastic variety of shops you will find throughout this stretch of town.  The influx of style and design fits perfectly into the redevelopment plans for this area,  which is quickly becoming Denver’s top destination to live, shop, dine and unwind.  Welcome to Denver’s SoBo!
