Holiday Tabletops

Holiday Tabletops

With the holidays right around the corner, you are probably in the midst of putting together fun ideas for your family dinners and parties. Several Denver Design District Showrooms have teamed up with local designers to create festive tabletop ideas.  The designs are on display until December 13th and include creations from Grange, Wesco FabricsShanahan Collection, and many more. We’ve pulled together some additional ideas to help inspire you this holiday season, along with a few tips and trends to consider when planning your table decor.

To start things off…consider getting rid of the traditional tall centerpieces in the middle of the table, which blocks everyone’s view, and consider a fresh garland.  Think about using natural materials such as nuts, pinecones and leaves mixed in with festive florals.

Set a table outdoors and use that environment as your inspiration.  Bold colors, natural materials and soft candle light are comforting and cozy…a perfect combination with the delicious  foods of the season.  Adding vibrantly colored fruits, gourds and vegetables can add an unexpected twist to standard floral arrangements.

Don’t be afraid of color.  Whether your setting is soft a neutral, rustic and natural or frosty white…a pop of color can add a fantastic impact.

Try this new trend in the party planning world…set up a fun drink or food station.  This can set the tone for the entire event and can easily be set up at a side table, buffet or kitchen counter.

Desserts, drinks, appetizers…the sky is the limit.  Combine tasty treats and concoctions with lovely serving wear and small decorative accents and you have yourself a fantastic focal point!

And above all else…celebrate, enjoy and HAVE FUN!  Happy Holiday Season.
