2013 Color of the Year

2013 Color of the Year

Pantone describes Emerald, their premier color of 2013, as:

“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty
that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”

Emerald is bold, rich, radiant and the perfect dramatic pop of color for any room or outfit. Get ready to see this lush hue everywhere from small accessories to window treatments and large scale patterned wallcoverings. If a bold accent wall in this deep color seems intimidating, opting for more subtle touches that incorporate the shade through accessories, such as an area rug or glass vase, can still create quite the statement.

Many trends might gravitate to a richer shade of Emerald (the way most people prefer the precious stones). However, whether a slightly softer and muted tone or a bolder, richer version is prefered …  PANTONE EMERALD 17-5641 is a versatile and easy to use shade of green. It is gender neutral, makes a big impact and is always elegant.

Emerald Green has made quite a scene in so many top fashion houses, that it seems fitting to see the same stunning effect in interiors. It is a beautiful color that works well in so many different color combinations. We are already seeing this lush tone make its way into many of the Denver Design District showrooms:
